The short version
Artificial intelligence is changing how insurance gets underwritten, sold and settled. ZERO LEGACY is a plain-English guide to what actually changes, what does not, and what order to move in.
It is written for the people who carry the risk of getting this wrong: the owners, executives and operators who have to make the call, sign the cheque, and live with the result.
It is not written for engineers. You do not need to know how a model works to read it.
Why this book exists
Every insurance leader is being told the same two things at once. One side says AI changes everything and you are already behind. The other side says it is hype and the fundamentals never change.
Both are unhelpful, because neither tells you what to do on Monday.
The harder problem is sequencing. Most businesses that get this wrong do not fail because they picked the wrong tool. They fail because they changed the wrong thing first, broke something that was working, and lost the room. ZERO LEGACY is about the order of operations.
The five movements
The book is built as five movements, each written three ways for the three readers who have to agree before anything moves.
What the pages actually look like
Three pages from the finished book, taken from the print file.

Who it is for
Owners and executives
You have to decide what the business does about AI, and you carry the consequences either way.
Brokers and agency principals
You want to know what is genuinely at risk in your model and what is still yours to keep.
Carriers and MGA leaders
You are being asked to move faster than your systems allow, and need a way to sequence it.
Anyone new to this
You want a straight explanation without a sales pitch attached to the end of it.
Technical review
The manuscript was read and stress-tested by a technical architecture reviewer before print. His conclusion sets the book’s central engineering boundary: a probabilistic system never makes a deterministic promise. The language model drafts and recommends; a versioned deterministic pricing engine decides.
A signed reviewer’s note appears in the book’s front matter.
What this book is not
Being clear about this saves you time if it is not what you were looking for.
Common questions
Can I read part of it before buying?
Yes. A free sample is available and does not ask for your email address. Open the sample and start reading.
Do I need a technical background?
No. The book is written for business readers. It explains what changes in plain language and does not assume any engineering knowledge.
Is it specific to Canada?
The author works in the Canadian market and some examples reflect that, but the shift the book describes is not country-specific.
Can I buy a print copy yet?
Not yet. ZERO LEGACY publishes in November 2026. The first print run is complete and the free sample is available now.
Do you sell bulk copies for teams?
Bulk orders and team distribution can be arranged. Use our contact page and choose Partnerships.
